Light Infused California Ranch
Marina Condo Kitchen
Challenge:
This 1980s era townhouse was thoughtfully remodeled into a welcoming vacation retreat for our client’s personal use. In the budget-conscious first phase, we focused on transforming the first floor, where the original galley-style kitchen was small, enclosed, and disconnected from the main living area—limiting both interaction and natural light. The half bath was in desperate need of an update. Additionally, the laundry closet was having to serve as a pantry and other storage due to minimal storage in the home.
Solution:
To enhance flow and functionality, we removed interior walls to expand the kitchen, seamlessly integrating it with the living space. A creative reconfiguration allowed for a gracious kitchen island, larger appliances, and significantly increased storage. Introducing a large window and a sleek modern entry door with glass brought in much-needed natural light, enriching the entire space. Though compact, the remodeled half bath and laundry area now offer exceptional efficiency and style. The result is a refreshed, inviting first floor that maximizes both function and livability—leaving our clients delighted with their transformed retreat.
